SYLFAB is a Northeast Wisconsin contract manufacturer specializing in CNC router services, plastic fabrication, wood fabrication and laser engraving. The Green Bay, Wisconsin-based company fabricates materials for a broad range of applications, including lettering and signage, protective barrier shields and machine guards. Maintaining the highest degree of accuracy, SYLFAB machines and cuts a variety of substrates, excluding metal and stainless steel. From Garage Startup to State-of-the-Art Manufacturing
Named after the Sylvester family who owns the company, SYLFAB opened in 2007 with a single computer numerical control (CNC) machine in Mike and Patty Sylvester’s garage. The inspiration for the company came from their son, Tyler Sylvester, and his CNC router project created at the Pulaski High School wood shop. Tyler earned a CNC Machining associate degree at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, Green Bay, in 2012.
Same-Day Fabrication for Manufacturing Clients
Mike Sylvester worked in manufacturing for over 35 years before joining SYLFAB full-time. Mike understands that in manufacturing, production is everything. Thus, SYLFAB provides same-day or next-day fabrication for emergency replacement parts for manufacturing clients.
CNC Routing, Plastic & Wood Fabrication, Laser Engraving
SYLFAB grew rapidly through word-of-mouth referrals and quickly outgrew the Sylvester’s garage. So, the family bought another CNC router and built a larger garage. In 2012, SYLFAB moved into its current manufacturing facility 15 miles north of Green Bay in Little Suamico, Wisconsin, just a half-mile off U.S. Highway 41. In 2020, SYLFAB expanded again. The fabricator built a facility for raw material storage, manufacturing equipment and a more sophisticated CNC router machine with robotic automation.
Climate-Controlled Workspaces for Peak Quality
SYLFAB’s climate-controlled shops keep materials at peak quality and protect against shrinkage or expansion. We partner with companies needing outside fabrication services that support their manufacturing needs. SYLFAB creates polycarbonate shields and guards, plywood cut-outs, plastic sheet cut-outs and much more.
Green Bay WI Community Involvement
SYLFAB belongs to the Brown County Home Builders Association. Additionally, Mike and Patty Sylvester mentor youth through the Pals Program of Brown County, Wisconsin. The Sylvesters value family, community service and customer satisfaction.
Fabricating PPE for Healthcare Industry
During the COVID-19 pandemic, SYLFAB quickly responded to the critical need for more personal protective equipment in Northeast Wisconsin medical facilities. To help prevent a shortage, we manufactured barrier shields and ear loops for masks used in the healthcare industry.
